"In many ways, this book is a goodbye letter. A goodbye to my older sister. A goodbye to my childhood. A goodbye to an innocence I'll never know again. In other ways, it's an acceptance letter. I'm accepting my grief. I'm accepting adulthood. I'm accepting that love and hope are everywhere: in my family, my past, my present, my future, and myself. I have poured my heart into each poem in this book. I started this collection when I was 18, and at 21 I'm letting it go. I hope readers will find comfort in themselves and their grief through the words I have written.
